Raymond James continues to expand in Northeast, welcomes advisor to new Briarcliff Manor, New York office

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Steve Gross, CFP®, ChFC®, APMA®, to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – in Briarcliff Manor, New York, according to Shannon Reid, Northeast regional director for RJFS.

Gross joins from Ameriprise, where he previously managed more than $165 million in client assets. He is joined by Senior Client Service Associate Luigi Muccitelli and Registered Client Associate Rebecca Denham. The team joins RJFS’ Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors. Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors is the fifth largest business in RJFS and collectively manages $2 billion in client assets.

“As I went through the journey of doing my due diligence, I found Raymond James had a great balance of attributes, which made them the best candidate,” said Gross. “Being able to run your business the way you truly want to while having an abundance of resources and support feels right. I genuinely feel I’m at the right place at the right time, and I look forward to the next chapter with Raymond James and Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors.”

Gross is a senior vice president with Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors and has been in the financial services industry for 25 years. He has spent the length of his career at Ameriprise. Gross attended the University of Pennsylvania and continued his education by earning the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Accredited Portfolio Management AdvisorSM.

“It’s very exciting for Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors to open its first New York office,” said Boston Harbor CEO Matt Davis. “Having recently celebrated our fifth anniversary, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come. We began as a small team of four advisors managing $100 million and have grown into a business managing $2 billion with 13 offices throughout the Northeast. Steve’s addition illustrates that the Boston Harbor Difference resonates with advisors and provides the resources to help achieve their unique goals.”

“We’re thrilled to continue expanding in the Northeast with the addition of Steve to Raymond James,” said Reid. “I look forward to seeing him launch Boston Harbor’s new office and grow his practice in the independent channel. I’m proud he saw the value in partnering with our firm and leveraging the robust resources and support available to advisors.”
