Raymond James launches new coaching program for advisors looking to enhance their wealth management offering
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James is launching a new coaching program designed to equip advisors with the knowledge, resources and skills to refresh their financial planning offering to clients, according to Liz Stiles, director of practice management coaching at Raymond James. The Enriching Your Wealth Management Offering coaching program, launched in partnership with the Investment & Wealth Institute (formerly IMCA), is designed to help advisors and specialized support teams refine their client discovery process and increase confidence in their wealth management offering for affluent and higher net worth clients.
“Industry studies reinforce clients’ growing need for services beyond just investment management, particularly among more affluent and high-net-worth clients, and the desire to work with one trusted advisor on all aspects of their wealth. This provides an opportunity for advisors to really enhance their offering and value proposition,” said Stiles. “For tenured advisors, who may have previously been more focused on the investments side, or new advisors entering the business, this coaching program offers actionable strategies to engage more deeply with clients and integrate wealth planning resources and expertise from Raymond James into their practices. By keeping the evolving needs and well-being of their clients at the forefront, advisors can continue to deliver valuable service to clients and grow their practices.”
Areas of program focus include:
• Increasing advisor confidence in wealth management conversations
• Education on key financial planning topics
• Implementing consistent and repeatable discovery conversations with clients
• Creating a proactive plan to uncover opportunities to add more holistic wealth planning with top clients
• Increasing awareness and usage of available wealth planning support and resources
During the 20-week program, participants will complete 14.5 hours of advisor education, nine hours of group coaching and two hours of private coaching. At the conclusion, program participants will receive their Private Wealth Essentials (PWE) designation and Continuing Education credits.
“Continuous professional development is an important part of any professional journey, but especially in the financial advice profession. Succeeding as an advisor today means demonstrating value – both what clients get for their money and why relationships matter. The Institute’s professional designations and educational programs like this new initiative help advisors deliver on that value every day,” said Sean R. Walters, CAE, chief executive officer, Investments & Wealth Institute.
In addition to collaborating with the Investment & Wealth Institute, the Raymond James Practice Intelligence coaching team is partnering with experts on Raymond James’ wealth planning, alternative investments, RJ Trust, and longevity planning teams to deliver this program.
Raymond James’ PCG Education and Practice Management Department focuses on providing advisors with award-winning, best-in-class tools and resources to help them manage and elevate their practices. The team provides a spectrum of scalable coaching services – from a practice assessment to help advisors analyze their practice, to personalized coaching through the team’s EPIC program.
