Raymond James & Associates welcomes experienced leader to new role within growing Northeast region

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Continuing the firm’s expansion in the Northeast, Raymond James recently welcomed experienced manager and leader Brian T. Cain to Raymond James & Associate’s (RJA – the firm’s employee advisor channel) growing Eastern division, according to Kelly Anderson, senior vice president and RJA Eastern regional director. In this new role, Cain will serve as managing director and complex manager, overseeing three existing RJA complexes (groups of branches) across Long Island and Northern New Jersey.

“The Northeast market continues to present a significant opportunity for growth, and Raymond James has remained committed to expanding the firm’s presence in this important area,” said Anderson. “Brian is a seasoned professional with unique expertise and strong relationships throughout Northern New Jersey and Long Island. We’re confident that his leadership will be a valuable addition to our division’s long-term growth strategy in the area, as we continue to recruit and retain experienced financial advisors across the region and in our industry.”

Cain comes to Raymond James from UBS, where he spent the last 21 years. He joined UBS in 1999 as a financial advisor, later working in several management capacities, including sales manager; branch manager; regional chief operating officer; complex director; market head; head of advisory sales and most recently Head of Ultra High Net Worth Sales. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Western New England University and his MBA from Fordham Gabelli School of Business.

“First and foremost, Raymond James is a firm truly focused on people and their financial well-being, with a unique culture centered on independence and choice,” said Cain. “That objectivity creates a special environment for advisors to serve their clients in a way that is best for their clients. The flexibility that Raymond James offers advisors – from personal branding, to expressed book ownership, and more – is something that just doesn’t exist anywhere else in the industry. I am thrilled to join the team as the firm continues to grow, and I look forward to telling our story throughout New Jersey and Long Island.”

In addition to welcoming Cain, the RJA Eastern Division recently announced an extension of the Southern New England Complex. Complex Manager Bill Drew, whose complex includes RJA’s Boston and New England markets, will oversee an expanded territory now including RJA’s Maine and New Hampshire branches.
