Bob Coleman
Bob serves as co-head of the firm’s National Housing Group and has been directly involved with all aspects of the firm’s housing practice during his more than 30 year tenure in which his focus has been single family mortgage product and program design and implementation as well as the development and execution of creative financing structures.
In this connection, Bob was active in the development of the tax-exempt forward delivery structure pioneered by Morgan Keegan in 2002 and used successfully for thirty transactions totaling $440 million. He had a primary role in the development and implementation of the first-ever publicly sold step-coupon premium monthly pass-through single family issue of which the firm completed 46 such transactions totaling $1.48 billion beginning in 2005. He was heavily involved in the firm’s role as special advisor to HFAs of $1.28 billion of NIBP programs in December 2009 – January 2010, and he was also instrumental in establishing and continues to oversee the firm’s innovative Turnkey single family mortgage origination program, which to date has been used by 28 of the firm’s state and local HFA clients nationwide to fund over $15 billion in mortgage loans.
Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business administration from Rhodes College. He has Series 7, 24, 50, 53, 54 and 63 registrations.
