Raymond James welcomes $900 million advisor team in Alexandria, Virginia
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed financial advisors Neil J. Goetzman and Jeffrey A. Nau, CFP®, CHFC®, CRPC®, to Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Alexandria, Virginia, according to Shannon Reid, Northeast regional director for RJFS.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome this accomplished team to Raymond James and our independent channel,” said Reid. “Neil and Jeffrey are deeply committed to doing what is best for clients, a value that we have always held close at Raymond James, and we are proud that they found Raymond James to be the best partner for them and their clients going forward. We look forward to supporting their continued success as they grow their practice as independent advisors.”
The team, which includes financial advisor Gerald Lyon, CRPC®, and registered client service associate Kathy Trzaskoma, operates as Goetzman Nau Financial Partners and joins from Merrill Lynch, where the advisors previously managed approximately $900 million in client assets. They serve a variety of clients, including business owners, high-net-worth families and individuals, nonprofits and retirees.
“From the beginning, we could tell the atmosphere and culture at Raymond James were different,” said Nau, senior partner of Goetzman Nau Financial Partners and RJFS financial advisor. “Taking our due diligence process very seriously, we wanted to ensure that we had a partner that would offer the best opportunities in helping us serve our clients, who are truly an extension of our own families, for the long haul.”
“What impressed us is the firm’s focus on its wealth management arm and its support of advisors – that’s at the center of everything at Raymond James,” said Goetzman, managing partner of Goetzman Nau Financial Partners and RJFS financial advisor. “It’s clear their resources are designed with advisors in mind and that the support staff and functions throughout the firm are not only knowledgeable, but also extremely accessible and willing to help. We feel Raymond James is the perfect complement to our clients and our team, and we are excited to have them as our partner in serving our clients.”
